Every day there are children sitting in LISD classrooms who struggle to focus on learning because their parents are having to make difficult decisions between paying the rent and utility bills or buying food for the dinner table. The Backpack Food Program was formed to help support these families and alleviate hunger in our schools.
From October 20-31 we will be collecting non-perishable, easy to open foods for students on our campus and in our district whose families need support at this time in their lives. There will be a blue tub outside the office to place your donations. For a list of suggested/needed items click on more info below.
