School News Headlines
Classroom Request Forms may be picked up and submitted to the front office beginning May 5th with a submission deadline of 3:00pm May 9th. Parent Input Forms will then continue to be available through the month of May.

The 2007-2008 Yearbooks will be in and sent home with your child on Tuesday, May 27th.

In an effort to be proactive to our upcoming school growth and make our school environment the safest we can for our students, we are making the following changes regarding walker dismissal.

1. If you are driving to school, parking, and then walking to get your students at the front walker location, we ask that you park on Fletcher Hall Lane (the street in back of the school) and pick-up your students at the back of the building, or use the sides of the building to pick-up your students. The front walker location is only for students that walk home.

2. We will be dismissing walkers before we dismiss the buses starting Monday, April 21st. However, we ask that parents walk their students home promptly at dismissal, as we need to have the front of the building and our bus lanes cleared for the safe dismissal of all our students.

Also, if you ever need to make a change in transportation, whether it's one day or a permanent change, we ask that you send a signed note to school with your child indicating the changes. These notes will be given to your child's teacher and then forwarded to the receptionist to make the changes. We do understand that things come up at the last minute and so phone calls to make a change are acceptable in an emergency situation. We appreciate your understanding and support as we work to ensure that your child makes the transition from the classroom to their dismissal areas as smoothly as possible.

Thank you for your support,
Rutledge Administration and Staff

Our transportation department has informed us that our buses are full. We are not able to accomodate letting students ride home with a friend on a bus if that is not their bus as well.

Summer Sports Camps
Leander ISD’s Community Services Department once again is offering a variety of sports camps this summer. Camp registration will run from April 21st through June 26th.

Dads, grandfathers, uncles, father figures, if you are interested in volunteering at your child’s school please ask us about the WATCH D.O.G.S. program we are starting at Rutledge. WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) is a great way for fathers to get involved at school. Through this program, you can help at the school as: a male role model, security presence, extra adult help in the classroom, and at lunch and recess.

Student transfer (Intra-district) forms are now available in the registrar's office at all campuses.

The 2008-2009 Leander ISD Calendar is now available! To view it, please click the link for School & District Calendar in the upper left part of this page.
